Melissa Osada has had a career in healthcare that spans 37 years with the past 11 years as a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP- BC).  She is licensed in the state of Washington with full practice authority providing evidence-based treatment and individualized, comprehensive and compassionate care for persons ages 18 and older with mild to severe/persistent psychiatric and mental health issues.  She provides a personal and empathetic approach to managing mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, post-traumatic stress disorder, and schizophrenia. She leverages strong critical thinking and knowledge of assessment and diagnostics to provide exceptional care while at the same time successfully building relationships with patients.

Melissa’s goal is to make every patient feel connected, heard, and cared for as an individual.  She believes that every human life has inherent worth. And that every person should be treated with respect, understanding, and compassion to empower them to create a life worth living.

Melissa graduated from the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at Gonzaga University, Spokane, WA in 2011.  She was a Registered Nurse in the United States Army from 1996 to 2004. 

She currently lives in San Antonio, Texas where she is raising her two young grandchildren.  She is active in the community and church.  In her personal time, Melissa enjoys time with family and friends, BBQs, traveling, swimming, DIY projects, and reading.
